No Nonsense

Junior: "Imagine having that same feeling every day of your life..." (Currie 251).
Iago: "Practicing upon his peace and quite,/Even to madness" (Shakespeare 2.1.310-311).
Jack: "For Heaven's sake, don't try to be cynical. It's perfectly easy to be cynical" (Wilde 7).
Junior: "Regular classes don't work for either of us" (Currie 64).
Iago: "Do it not with poison. Strangle [the test] in [its] bed" (4.1.209).
Junior: "What do you mean?" (Currie 244).
Jack: "Oh, that's nonesense, [Iago]. You never talk anything but nonsense" (Wilde 19).
Iago: "Come, stand not amazed at it, but go along with me" (Shakespeare 4.3.239).
Jack: "You have got to leave..." (Wilde 30).

  1. Marc, very nice job. I feel that you do a great job of encompassing the wide range of emotions associated with the AP English Literature Exam. I also enjoyed that the conversation seems to mock students for getting so stressed for an event that lasts for such a short period of time, and I think it helps encourage us students to stay calm.

    You're a great guy, congratulations on that. I like the mocking of the AP test because I think things that take themselves seriously deserve to be mocked a little. I'm not gonna lie though, I have literally no idea what these people are talking about...this was a hard assignment.

  3. Good creative approach to such a hard assignment. I liked your repetition of the word "nonsense", I feel like nonsense is a large part of AP tests, so the word was very fitting to the larger situation. Also, the mocking was very funny. Well done sir!

  4. Marc, I liked how all of the comments easily flowed and connected with the previous line. I grasped each characters' personality with the quotes you chose. I also enjoyed the absurdity of Iago's comments. I feel as though he will speak these exact words to me while I take the exam.
